L05A-RF RESIN PAD W/FIN & SPRING

Shimano continually seeks to improve their disc brake pad performance via their collaboration with ICE Technologies. With the L05A, which replaces the K-type design, the resin compound has been improved, delivering quieter braking overall, with better modulation capability via the entire braking system technologies, and about 50% more compound durability than it's predecessor. These finned pads are compatible with all Shimano disc brake calipers that accepted the K-type pad, with some mountain, all gravel, and all road compatibility. Of the current top end calipers, the only model it is not compatible with is XTR M9100 series.

The ICE Technologies fin system and aluminum backplate set-up are designed to cool down the brakes while they are in use, and afterwards, which improves braking consistency and power while also reducing brake fade, especially during long descents. As the key pad option for the calipers that coming with 12-Speed R9200, R8100, and R7100 road groups, the compound and heat reduction ideally complements the better braking on these road systems than the 11-Speed generation, with maximum improvement when used with the Dura-Ace R9270 calipers and levers.
